Welcome to The Well, a place where community thrives and love overflows. We’re more than just a church; we’re a family.  Here at The Well, we believe in building strong, meaningful relationships with God and each other.

We have a variety of ministries that cater to men, women, and children of all ages. From dynamic worship services to enriching Bible studies, there’s always something happening here that’ll help you connect with God and fellow believers on a deeper level.

At The Well, we encourage each other, grow together, and serve our community and each other with joy. So whether you’re a seasoned believer or just starting your spiritual journey, remember this: You belong here!

Pastor Mark Garret is the Lead Pastor at the Well. Until he encountered Jesus, Mark lived a dysfunctional life. The Lord saved him, and by that same grace, called him to be a preacher of the Gospel. After graduating from Teen Challenge in 2010, he served in various capacities, ranging from an intern at The Well (formerly VVAG), to Associate Pastor, to launching Idyllwild Assembly of God in 2016, to finally becoming Lead Pastor at The Well after Pastor Randy’s retirement. He has been married to his wife, Tina, for 19 years. His favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 15:10.

Meet Pastor Becca Helms Ventura, our vibrant Executive & Student Ministries Pastor. She’s been serving our community since ’87, handling admin tasks, overseeing student ministries, and connecting with families. Her favorite Bible verse, Philippians 4:13, explains how she manages to get so much done! In her spared time, she loves adventuring with family and friends.

Pastor Ruth Savon is a certified Pastor with the Assemblies of God church and is an associate pastor at The Well. Currently, her key role is as a pianist/keyboardist and vocalist on The Well worship team. Her favorite Bible passage is Psalm 26:4-6. In her spare time, she loves to read and study the Bible, and books to strengthen her faith. She also enjoys cooking, dining out, travel, and anything music related.

Pastor Joyce Hurst has been a cherished member of The Well since June 2001. She oversees adult education, facilitates classes, and assists with Kids Church and Mission Sundays. Due to her servant’s heart, you’ll also find Joyce jumping in and helping wherever needed. Her favorite Bible verse is Romans 8:28. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling.

Men’s Ministry

We are a community of men of all ages who come together to encourage and support one another in our faith journeys. We believe that “as iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another” (Proverbs 27:17), and that through fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and accountability, we can become better husbands, fathers, and followers of Christ.

We invite you to join us for our weekly men’s Bible study and weekly men’s prayer, where we dive deeper into God’s word and lift each other up in prayer. We also gather once a month for a men’s breakfast, where we share a meal and enjoy a time of fellowship and discussion.

In addition to our regular meetings, we also host occasional events such as conferences and retreats, where we can grow in our faith and connect with other men in the church.

Whether you’re new to the faith or have been walking with the Lord for decades, we welcome all men to join us. Together, we can sharpen each other and become the men that God has called us to be.

Women’s Ministry

Our Women’s Ministry is a vibrant community open to all women aged 18 and above. Join us as women from all walks and seasons of life come together to connect, grow, and strengthen our relationship with the Lord.

At The Well’s Women’s Ministry, we believe in the power of connection. We provide a safe and welcoming space where women can gather to build meaningful relationships, support one another, and experience the joy of authentic fellowship. Through our shared experiences, study of the Word, and sweet times of worship, we learn, grow, and find encouragement in our walk with the Lord.

Throughout the year, we offer day retreats and conferences designed specifically for women. These events provide opportunities for spiritual growth, renewal, and empowerment.

Women’s Ministry is not just a stand-alone group; we come alongside other ministries within our church community. We actively support and lend a helping hand to various ministries, demonstrating our commitment to serve and make a positive impact in the lives of others.

Three compelling reasons to join the Women’s Ministry at The Well are to connect with other women, connect with Christ, and to both give and receive encouragement.

And let’s not forget the delicious food we share at our meetings! Our gatherings are marked by warm fellowship and shared snacks and meals, creating an atmosphere where friendships are nurtured and memories are made.

We invite you to join us at The Well’s Women’s Ministry and experience the joy of growing in faith, building friendships, and being part of a community that truly cares. Come as you are, and let us walk this journey of faith together.

Kids Ministry

For our youngest members, ages 0-3, we offer nursery care during services. Your little ones will be enveloped in an atmosphere of love and care as they’re introduced to Bible truths through music, play, and loving interactions.

Our elementary program, designed for kindergartners through 5th graders, is a dynamic mix of hands-on learning and age-appropriate play. From the moment your child steps on campus, they’ll experience the love of Jesus. Praise and worship music fills the air, creating a joyous backdrop for service moments and the building of lasting friendships.

But why should you consider joining our children’s ministry? First, it’s a place of joy and fun where kids connect with Jesus and others. Second, it’s a nurturing environment where children can grow in their relationship with God. Finally, it offers valuable lessons on living a life of service.

Our dedicated Kids Ministry Leaders are here to provide encouragement and support every step of the way. We can’t wait to welcome you and your child to The Well’s Children’s Ministry!

Youth Ministry

Welcome to The Well’s Youth Ministry, a vibrant community dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth of middle school (6-8th grade) and high school students (9-12th grade). We believe in creating a space where young people can gather, engage with God’s word, and grow in their faith.

Our ministry offers a variety of opportunities for students to connect with their peers and experienced leaders. Weekly Bible studies provide a robust foundation for understanding and applying God’s word. Trips and activities offer fun and fellowship, while service projects encourage a heart for serving others.

But why should your student join our Youth Ministry? First, it’s a place to build lasting friendships with like-minded peers. Second, our leaders are deeply committed to demonstrating God’s love in tangible ways. Lastly, let’s not forget about the food! Whether it’s a sweet treat or spaghetti night, there’s always something delicious on the menu.

At The Well’s Youth Ministry, we’re passionate about encouraging students to know and accept God’s love for them. We aspire to help them live out their faith in Christ Jesus every day, through their love for God and others. We look forward to welcoming you and your student to our community!

At The Well, we believe our calling extends beyond our four walls. Our love for God and people manifests in a deep commitment to serve our community. We’re not just a church; we’re a family dedicated to spreading love, joy, and the message of Christ throughout the Hemet and San Jacinto Valley.

As an example, each year, we host a Thanksgiving dinner, offering a place of warmth and fellowship for all. It’s a time of gratitude, shared meals, and creating memories that last a lifetime. Our annual Trunk or Treat event is a highlight for the neighborhood kids, filled with fun, treats, and laughter.

In addition to these events, The Well actively participates in a monthly worship night, joining hands with other churches in Hemet. This enriching gathering rotates among various local churches, fostering unity and deepening our collective worship experience.

At The Well, community isn’t just a word—it’s a way of life. We invite you to join us as we strive to make a difference, serving God by serving others. Together, we can impact our community with the love and message of Christ.
